Redefining Inclusive Design in Melbourne's Inner West
Led by Youth Projects in collaboration with Studio Tate, The Green Boat, RMIT University, and Untapped, the MAKE SENSE Project is pioneering Australia’s first sensory-inclusive commercial kitchen through the Social Enterprise Sensory Kitchen initiative.
The project aims to redefine workplace inclusion by creating a purpose-built training and employment hub that supports young people with diverse sensory and developmental needs.
“For many young people, this will be the first workplace they ever step into, so we’re incredibly proud to be driving something that blends design excellence with real social impact.
It takes different disciplines and collaborative partnerships to solve complex problems. MAKE SENSE brings together design, innovation and lived experience to create a training environment where young people can thrive.”
