With as many as 15-20% of Australians thought to be neurodivergent (Life Without Barriers 2022), organisations need to build cultural competence in working with and supporting neurodivergent employees. The first step to building competence is education.

Participants will learn how to create a supportive environment for neurodivergent employees and explore strategies for fostering inclusivity. This session will also address the importance of workplace adjustments and how they can contribute to enhanced productivity and innovation.

  • This module explores the differences in communication styles across neurotypes and provides participants with the skills to adapt their communication strategies for neurodivergent colleagues. It covers how to foster clearer communication, avoid misunderstandings, and build more effective relationships within teams.

  • This module is tailored specifically for emergent leaders, focusing on how to lead neurodiverse teams successfully. These modules can help address specific areas for improvement and promote organisations to achieve excellence. Our more targeted training modules cover themes such as:

 

 
  • This training aims to build understanding of unique communication styles from both neurodivergent and neurotypical perspectives with a focus on the characteristics of Autistic communication, characteristics of ADHD communication and characteristics of Dyslexic Communication (90 minutes)

  • Demonstrates some common barriers to employment success for autistic employees. It provides strategies for working with different working and communication styles and gives tips for setting goals and giving effective performance feedback (1 hour)

  • This training module explains the signs and behaviours associated with autism and anxiety at work. The training outlines some of the signs of anxiety, identifies common triggers and suggests some initial support strategies (1 hour)

  • This training will build a mentor’s autism knowledge and confidence to effectively mentor an autistic mentee. The training explores differences in social and communication styles and gives tips for effective communication and goal setting (1 hour)

  • Designed to help recruiters/hiring managers to understand neuro-inclusive interview and hiring practices. It provides examples of adjustments to ensure barriers are removed during the recruitment process so neurodivergent candidates can fully participate (1 hour)

  • Dyslexia affects approximately 10% of the population and brings powerful advantages such as creative thinking, big-picture vision, and exceptional verbal communication. By embracing neurodiversity, organisations can not only uplift their employees but also foster innovation and adaptability across the workforce, creating a more dynamic and successful team.

  • Harnessing Strengths for Professional Excellence. Designed to help organizations harness the unique strengths of employees with ADHD, this course covers the characteristics of ADHD, dispels common myths, and highlights both the challenges and benefits associated with ADHD in the workplace. The course offers practical strategies for time management, task prioritization, and minimizing distractions, as well as effective communication techniques and personal development opportunities. Case studies and success stories are included to demonstrate real-world applications.
