National Panel of Assessors (NPA)

The NPA is an Australian Government service and a standing panel of independent assessment service providers who support the needs of people with disability in the workplace.

What is the NPA Scheme?

The NPA Scheme is a standing panel of independent assessment service providers contracted to assist people with disability who are seeking employment and/or to uphold sustainable employment. The (NPA) Scheme sets down the requirements for undertaking audits against the National Standards of Disability Services (NSDS) for the NPA program. 
 
NPA Providers (Untapped) can undertake different independent assessment services to assist with the needs people with disability in the workplace. 

Ongoing Support (OS):

For Disability Employment Services (DES) participants who have achieved a 26-week employment outcome and are likely to need ongoing support to retain their job. 

Supported Wage System (SWS):

Provide employers and eligible people with disability a reliable process of productivity-based wage assessment.

The NPA Scheme applies to providers that receive funding under the Disability Services and Inclusion Act 2023 (DSI Act) to deliver assessment services as part of the program. The assessment services are considered to be employment services under the DSI Act.
